How to Lose 10 Pounds Before a Big Event

The good news: You've got a big date on Saturday night. The bad news: That means you only have one week to lose some weight! And now you've probably been looking at yourself in the mirror, cursing like a sailor as you wonder how you'll be able to lose ten pounds by then. Can you wish it off? Give it up Cinderella, wishes aren't that magical. But don't lose hope! It's possible, and I'm going to tell you how to do it.

Water, Water, and more Water!

Yes, that's right.

If you need to lose that weight quickly, water can help you do it. Our bodies retain water; it's entirely natural. Now, when you drink a ton of it, your body will loosen its tight grip on the extra water that's already in your body. So, it's conceivable for you to lose some of that weight in a week or less.

If you want to know how to lose 10 pounds, drink 100 ounces of water this week every day.

But if you're like many people and hate the thought of drinking so much water, you could always improve the taste with a squirt of lime or lemon. You can also sweeten it up with a little bit of honey if you must. Whatever you do, just keep drinking!

Eat Smaller Portions.

A lot people don't know that you can lose 10 pounds by eating more meals a day. Instead of eating three large meals, it's better to eat 6 smaller meals a day. Yes, that's right. 6 meals a day, however, you want to make them much smaller than a normal meal.

An example of the ideal size is 1 or 2 ounces of lean meat and, say, 1/2 cup of vegetables like spinach or some other greens. You do that and you'll be able to impress Mr. Hot Pant with the slimmer you.

Whatever you do, do not starve! All you're doing is reducing the portions and eating more often. Oh, and drinking all that water.

You'll finally be able to slip into that beautiful dress by Saturday night. And hey, after you get home, why not dig into that box of Rocky Road?
